Ana Isabel Fonseca Moiteiro is a Ph.D. student in e-Planning, a joint doctoral program between the FCT-UNL, the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon and the University of Aveiro. She has worked in the Tourism of Portugal as a project manager (2001-2009), evaluating and monitoring public investment projects and as an independent consultant (2013), doing market research, conducting feasibility studies and designing tourism destination strategies. Currently she is a member of the National Commission of the ECO XXI programme (http://ecoxxi.abae.pt/) of the Blue Flag European Association in Portugal. She is a Hotel and Tourism Management graduate from the Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies and holds a M.Sc. in Environmental Management and Policies from the FCT-UNL and the University of Aveiro, where her research was on the subject of sustainability indicators for tourism destinations. Ana Isabel is currently conducting her Ph.D. research in the field of public policies for sustainability. .
