Lina Arroyave is a PhD candidate at CENSE, NOVA School of Science and Technology I FCT NOVA.
Her research is focused on how public policies can accelerate sustainable transformation and in exploring new methods for an advanced testing and understanding of the socio-ecological systems and its relation to collaborative governance. She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Management and Policies, a joint program between NOVA School of Science and Technology I FCT NOVA, Évora University and Aveiro University (2019). She has broad experience working with collaborative groups in biodiversity, environmental policy implementation and conservation in different research centers, such as the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute and local NGOs. Her latest work was focused on untangling the impact of a State reform on environmental management and protection in Portuguese coastal municipalities, within the scope of decentralised policies at Portuguese State. The main objective of her latest work was to support policy implementation.
