CENSE received Macau’s Meteorological and Geophysical Services Director and Officers

The air quality group from the Energy & Climate research area organized and hosted the visit of the Macau’s Meteorological and Geophysical Services (SMG) Director and Officers, in the past 22nd of November.

The SMG delegation was received by the FCT NOVA Dean Prof. Virgílio Machado, and visited the mobile air quality monitoring station - SNIF Air Lab. Then headed to Lisbon for meetings with the Coordination and Regional Development Commission from Lisbon and Tagus Valley (CCDR-LVT) and with the Municipality of Lisbon representatives. The purpose of those meetings was to discuss the main air quality problems faced in Lisbon and Macau, policies and measures taken to tackle air pollution (with a focus on transport and mobility sector), and innovative air quality monitoring methods.
