Vânia Sousa


Vânia Serrão Sousa is a PhD student in the PhD Program on Marine, Earth and Environmental Sciences, with specialization in Water Treatment and Management. Vânia is graduated in Environmental Engineering and holds a MSc also in Environmental Engineering by the University of Algarve. She starts working as a researcher in 2008 in water treatment, and during this time she has been a Research Fellow and Team Member in several founded R&D projects. She is co-author of fourteen papers (four as first author) in peer reviewed international journals, and has presenting her work in several national and international scientific conferences and meetings.
Her PhD research topic is about developing drinking water treatment processes, in particular for the removal of metallic nanoparticles.
